LateRooms.com - Be Impressed by Colours of the World in Rome

Released on: January 27, 2011, 11:25 am
Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

The Colours of the World exhibition in Rome is set to be a must-see for readers of National Geographic when it opens in February.

It has been put together by the Italian edition of the publication and features images captured across the globe, with the snaps in the collection organised into four sections - red, green, white and blue.

According to the venue, the method of organising the pictures enhances the experience for attendees, who may head down to the venue - the Palazzo delle Esposizioni - from their 5 star hotels in Rome.

While the red zone focuses on communities and traditions, green will explore snaps taken of natural settings, white is all about the animals and habitats at threat in the world and the blue area will concern the water and the sky.

Colours of the World goes on display on February 12th and will be available to view until May 1st 2011.

"The visitor is guided through contrasts and evocations that describe the present and future of this world, the strengths and weaknesses of plants and animals, and human humility, modesty, pride, pain and joy," a representative from the museum remarked.

Admission to the museum costs €12.50 (£10.80).

The complex is closed on Mondays and opens from 10:00 to 20:00 local time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and 10:00 until 22:30 on Fridays and Saturdays.

For more information on this event, visit the Palazzo delle Esposizioni website or contact the venue on +39 06 3996 7500.
