Four of the most exciting acts in music are due to perform at Bournemouth's O2 Academy next month.

The 2011 Shockwaves NME Awards Tour rolls into the south coast resort on Wednesday February 16th, when Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man, Everything Everything and The Vaccines are due to perform.

People booking Bournemouth hotels for the event can expect to see some of the stars of tomorrow on stage.

Bands that have previously played on the NME Awards Tour before moving on to stadium gigs include the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay and Glasvegas.

The Vaccines are a hotly-tipped four-piece from London who recently took third place on the BBC's Sound of 2011 poll, which sees industry experts predict the biggest acts of the next 12 months.

Manchester-based Everything Everything, who released their debut album Man Alive last year, have won plaudits for their complex arrangements and eclectic approach to pop music.

Meanwhile, dubstep fans should be eagerly anticipating the set from Magnetic Man, as the act comprises three of the genre's top producers - Skream, Benga and Artwork.

Support for headline act Crystal Castles is likely to be just as strong, as the Canadian duo recently enjoyed a hit with Not in Love, which features Robert Smith of The Cure on vocals.

Tickets for the show are priced at £16.94 and the doors will open at 19:00 GMT.
