The Globe to Globe World Music Festival in Kingston, Melbourne, is sure to result in a surge of bookings at cheap accommodation in the area when it takes place next month.

Organised each year with the intention of promoting cultural diversity, harmony and peace through music, the event is scheduled to be held on January 22nd and 23rd 2011.

Anyone planning to stay in Melbourne hotels for the occasion can rest assured that they will be treated to performances from a wide array of acts.

Diego Guerrero Quintet, Afro Dizzi Act and Batucada Sound Machine are among the bands gracing the stage on Saturday January 22nd, while the likes of Soteria Bell, Jaspora and San Lazaro will appear the following day.

There will be plenty more than just music to entertain cheap hotels Melbourne guests, with international food, beers and wines on offer, as well as market stalls, rides and amusements.

Furthermore, the Saturday night will come to a close with a fireworks display at 22:00 local time.

Admission requires a donation of A$2, while the music is set to run from 12:00 until 22:00 on the first day and between 12:00 and 18:00 on Sunday.

Visitors should turn up early as queues could be lengthy, with more than 20,000 people flocking through the gates over the two days in previous years.

For more information on this event, visit the Globe to Globe World Music Festival website or contact the organisers on 1300 653 356.
