Released on: January 04, 2011, 10:10 am The Henry Oguike Butterfly Dreaming Tour is set to roll into Liverpool's Everyman Theatre in February and treat dance enthusiasts to some world-class performances. Guests at Liverpool hotels are sure to be entertained by the work of Oguike, who is described by the venue as being one of the most inventive choreographers in the UK. "Variety, wit and drama; astute musical choices; bold theatrical colour. This is contemporary dance at its most thrilling and enjoyable," one of the organisers commented. Taking place on February 1st, the show will include a selection of three pieces, including Freq, which uses a set featuring running water. The other two dances due to be performed are the titular Butterfly Dreaming and Point of Contact, with the former taking inspiration from the Far East and the latter accompanied by a solo cello playing the music of Bach. Admission to this show, which features significant use of strobe lighting in Freq, is not recommended to the under-8s, with tickets costing between £10 and £16.
