Parents on the lookout for activities to take their children to during a stay in Madrid hotels could head to the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza for What Are You Looking At?.

The event is aimed at youngsters between 12 and 15 years old, with participants given the chance to help create a short film over the course of four weekends.

What makes the activity all the more entertaining is that the children will be involved in every stage of its development, from brainstorming ideas to the final shoot.

"A work from the museum's collection will be the starting point for the creation of the script, storyboard and the development of the characters and [cinematography]," explained the arts space.

Once the project is finished, the results will be uploaded to the EducaThyssen website.

Any parents keen to get their children involved in the activity will need to act quickly to sign them up, as there are just 25 places available on each intake.

The sessions take place at 16:00 local time on Saturdays, with the course costing€24 (£20.75) for all four lessons.
