The annual Whittlesea Country Music Festival takes place in
Victoria next month, promising to showcase the cream of the country's
folk and roots talent.
Set to run between February 11th and 13th 2011, the event will see performances from
the likes of Shannon Noll, the Sunny Cowgirls, Boom Crash Opera, Harmony James and
many more.
And the organisers have assured cheap hotels Melbourne guests and other ticketholders that plenty more family-friendly
entertainment will be laid on, including a truck and ute show, while there will also
be plenty of delicious local food and drink to enjoy.
"I know I'm going to love it and I hope you do too," remarked festival president
Anthony Holding on the event's official website.
People who have booked local cheap accommodation can pick up tickets for the individual shows on Friday and
Saturday (February 11th and 12th) in advance, with prices varying depending on the
gig.
Admission to the Sunday Roundup at Whittlesea Showgrounds, which features two stages
of live music and performances all day between 08:00 and 18:00 local time, costs
AU$35, although children aged 15 and under can get in for free.
Whittlesea is only a short drive from a number of hotels in Melbourne, with the township located around 35km north of the Victoria capital.
