Industry: Travel

The Hua Hin Hills Vineyard Annual Harvest Season Celebration will be in full swing until the end of next month.

Run by Siam Winery, the attraction opened two years ago and is set to hold its first festival to herald the harvest period. The event has been organised in an attempt to boost wine tourism in the area.

The celebration kicked off on February 18th 2011 and will run until March 31st.

Visitors can look forward to a number of specially-created activities, including the chance to jump on a Jeep and pick newly-ripened grapes straight from the vines.

A menu has also been created for the event and the on-site Sala Wine Bar and Bistro offers live jazz and easy listening music at weekends. The kitchen serves food from 11:00 to 17:30 local time every day.

According to the organisers, the highlight is the Wine Harvest Dinner on March 12th. It includes a wide range of foods paired with award-winning Monsoon Valley wines.

This event also features a knowledge session hosted by Siam Winery's in-house winemaker. Tickets cost 2,000 Thai baht (£40) per person.

Tourists looking to combine a stay in Hua Hin hotels with a trip to the festival can find a large selection of local accommodation at AsiaRooms.com, such as the Dusit Thani Hua Hin, which boasts its own ornamental lake, lily pond and tropical gardens.
