Book lovers will have the chance to meet acclaimed novelist Jeffrey Archer in Melbourne next month.

The novelist is visiting the Victoria capital's Studio 3 venue to sign copies of his latest tome, Only Time Will Tell.

Archer has been a regular figure at the top of international bestseller lists throughout his writing career. He has shifted more than 250 million copies worldwide and won critical acclaim for novels and short stories such as A Twist in the Tale, Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less and Kane and Abel.

His Melbourne appearance will kick off on March 22nd 2011 at 12:00 local time.

Tickets are required for the event and the organisers have advised booking early, as demand is likely to be high. General admission passes cost AU$85, including a two-course lunch and all drinks.

Studio 3 is located in the city's Southbank district, just a short trip across the Yarra River from the central business district. It is close to some of Melbourne's biggest attractions, including the Convention and Exhibition Centre and National Gallery of Victoria.

Literary enthusiasts thinking of booking Melbourne hotels in time for the event can head to LateRooms.com, which recommends a wide variety of cheap accommodation in the area.
