Keith Urban will head to Brisbane to wrap up the Australian leg of his Get Closer 2011 world tour.

The musician is taking to the stage from 19:30 local time at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday April 15th and Saturday April 16th.

He has already established himself as a key player in the country music industry and is known for having a rock and roll edge to his sound.

Urban is married to Australian actress Nicole Kidman and reveals on his official website their union has inspired the title of his latest record Get Closer.

"I have always run from intimacy and marriage has been a real awakening for me in looking at that very differently," the singer says.

His tracks have been successful around the world and made him a multi-platinum-selling artist.

The tour is set to begin in Adelaide, before calling at Melbourne, Tamworth and Sydney then arriving at Brisbane.

It will include a catalogue of the musician's hits, such as Better Life, Somebody Like You and Long Hot Summer, alongside old and new tunes.

Tickets go on sale on Monday March 14th at 09:00 local time and are priced at between AU$91 and AU$131.

Fans of the artist keen to book cheap accommodation in the city will find a wide range of Brisbane hotels at LateRooms.com.au.
