Famous singer Tina Arena is to showcase her talents in Perth with the backing of the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO).

Familiar to many for her musical theatre career, this very special collaboration involving Arena will offer people the chance to see her express herself in a completely new medium.

Recognised as one of the country's greatest performers, Arena's signature blend of French, Italian and English music will be lifted to another level by the WASO.

She knows a thing or two about wowing crowds, having had her first taste of stardom at the tender age of seven in the TV show Young Talent Time.

Both gigs are taking place at the Perth Concert Hall on April 8th and 10th, with the concerts getting underway at 19:30 local time.

They forms part of the Ernst & Young Contempo Series and Nicholas Buc will be on conducting duties.

Tickets for the event are priced between AU$80 and AU$99.

Other stars due to collaborate with the WASO include Barry Manilow, Kenny Rodgers and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.
