The championship did not visit Western Australia in 2010, so locals and travellers alike will be looking to make up for it this time around. As well as the main event, five supporting categories of vehicles will take part in the Trading Post Perth Challenge. The Australian Superbike Championships, Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series and the Touring Car Masters will all see drivers showcasing their ability. It will be held from April 29th to May 1st at the Barbagallo Raceway. The track has been in operation since 1967 and it has staged V8 Supercar races since 1997.
