Music acts and some of Queensland's big restaurants will be out in force for the 2011 Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival, which takes place in Brisbane at the start of next month.

Among the top eateries confirmed as attending are the Calypso Bar - set to serve up a delicious seafood pizza - and Cartel, which will offer visitors a taste of its famous tuna mornay pie.

Other dishes include the Halo Lounge Bar's special Caxton Street calamari and the Asian king prawn and scallop combo from the Red Lantern.

The event boasts three stages of music, featuring performances from the likes of The Radiators, Winter of Reason and Rob Robot. Hugh Cornwell, best known as the lead singer and guitarist with British punk and new wave act The Stranglers, has also been lined up to play a solo show.

Gates at Caxton Street are scheduled to open at 11:00 local time on May 1st and close at 22:00.

Tickets are available for AU$20 per person plus booking fee. They are available online in advance or on the door until 20:30 on the day.

Culinary enthusiasts looking for hotels near Caxton Street can head to LateRooms.com.au and browse a large selection of Brisbane hotels.
