Author: AsiaRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

The National Geographic store in Singapore is showcasing Eyes of South East Asia, which includes a variety of styles and themes.

On show until May 31st 2011, the display will give people a taste of the sort of artwork being produced in the region.

The organisers noted that each painting boasts its own unique influences and allows the creators to communicate without words.

In a statement, they said: "This collection of paintings by South East Asian artists explores and reveals the unique essence of the region and its cultural influences."

The show is free to enter and is available during normal opening hours at the store, from 10:00 to 22:00 local time. The venue, which includes a cafe as well as the conventional National Geographic shop, can be found on Harbour Walk.

Another exhibition on display until the end of the month showcases the photography of Alessandro Bee.

It is called Water Portraits and includes 34 images of dramatic water features from all over the world, including landmarks such as the Iguazu Falls in South America.

Art fans can use AsiaRooms.com to browse a huge selection of Singapore hotels, including The Fragrance Hotel.
