The sixth annual Malaysia International Dive Expo (MIDE) will offer enthusiasts a chance to find out more about what the country offers in terms of underwater fun.

It is being held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur from July 1st to 3rd 2011 and aims to show attendees that the nation boasts some of the finest diving spots in the world.

More than 10,000 visitors were expected to check out the festival last year and a similar number will be there again in 2011.

The organisers explained in a statement that they use the MIDE not only to boost people's diving expertise and knowledge, but also to highlight environmental issues and promote responsible behaviour in the water.

It is aimed at divers of all abilities, so beginners need not worry that they will be out of their depth.

The exhibition will be open from 10:00 to 19:00 local time every day, with close to 100 stands offering a variety of new experiences and innovations that may appeal to visitors.
