Spanish speakers can join in the worldwide celebration of El Dia E at the Paris Cervantes Centre in June.

The event calls on everyone around the world who knows the language to come together and help spread Hispanic culture.

While travellers in Paris may be tempted to explore their Gallic side while they are in the French capital, they could also spend some time learning a bit of Spanish on Saturday June 18th 2011, when El Dia E is held.

More than 450 million people speak the language and it is the third most-used tongue on the internet.

El Dia E will see a variety of activities organised at the Paris facility, with details of the programme due to be announced closer to the day.

It has been celebrated by the Instituto Cervantes annually since 2009 at all of its international centres.
