Released on: May 09, 2011, 5:40 am
Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

The Kathmandu Urban Max, a unique blend of scavenger hunt and adventure race, is coming to the Perth central business district at the start of next month.

Described by the organisers as a completely new format of racing that takes place right in the heart of the host city, the event provides an exciting way for participants to check out some of Perth's best known landmarks.

Along the way, they will be tasked with completing a number of tough challenges, some of which require muscle while others need brain power to progress.

To cover the longer distances involved in the contest, racers are allowed to make use of public transport, although taxis, rollerblades and bikes are all forbidden.

The Kathmandu Urban Max is coming to Perth on June 4th 2011 and is open to 500 teams of two. Entry costs AU$180 and includes a map, t-shirts, an end-of-race meal and more.

Proceedings are scheduled to kick off with registration at 07:30 local time, with the race set to get underway at 09:00. Participants have until 15:00 to complete the course.

Adventure lovers looking for Perth hotels can find a wide array of cheap hotels in the city at LateRooms.com.au.
