Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Diamond is set to play live in Berlin next month.

The evergreen performer's show at the O2 World on Tuesday June 7th will give fans a chance to hear classic hits from his extensive back catalogue.

With songs like Sweet Caroline, I'm a Believer and Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon to his name, Diamond has sold millions of records worldwide and is one of the most successful recording artists in US Billboard chart history.

The New York-born musician was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year and shows no signs of slowing down, despite recently celebrating his 70th birthday.

His most recent studio album, 2010's Dreams, was acclaimed for its stripped-down versions of classic tracks such as Ain't No Sunshine, Desperado, Hallelujah and Midnight Train to Georgia.

The American chose 13 of his favourite songs by other performers for the LP, as well as offering a reinterpretation of I'm a Believer, which was a huge hit for The Monkees in 1966.

Diamond is currently in the midst of a world tour, having recently played a string of arena shows in Australia.

The European leg begins in Antwerp early next month, before heading to Berlin and onwards to venues across the UK.

Tickets for his performance in the German capital are available online, priced between €59.70 and €234.45 (£51.80 and £203.70). The show is due to begin at 20:00 local time.
