There will be three opportunities for people to enjoy the acclaimed Tinalley String Quartet at the Sydney Opera House over the coming months.

Taking the stage on May 23rd, July 11th and October 10th 2011, the group will present three separate programmes.

For those who attend the spring show, the Tinalley String Quartet will play Brave New World, which focuses on pieces by Haydn, Shostakovich and Debussy.

The summer concert is entitled Light in Darkness and explores the concept of reaching for the divine, while the A Thousand Times Goodnight autumn performance will boast guest appearances by Roger Benedict and Li Wei Qin to make up quintets.

Fans may have heard a recital of Brave New World by Tinalley String Quartet broadcast on ABC Radio on Tuesday (May 17th), forming part of the station's National Concert Season.

The group have won several awards during their time together, including first prize at the 9th Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2007.

Standard tickets for the show cost AU$50, with concessions available for AU$40 and the under-12s able to enter for AU$30.

The concerts are about 115 minutes long, including a 20-minute interval.

Classical music fans can use LateRooms.com.au to find last minute accommodation in Sydney.

Additional information about the concerts is available at www.sydneyoperahouse.com/whatson.
