The first annual Kalim Kinetic Art Fair is taking place in Phuket until June 25th, showcasing the creativity of children and adults on the island.

It is being held at Brush Restaurant & Lounge and has been organised by the venue alongside Underwood Factory.

In the run-up to the event, people were invited to design their own kinetic art sculpture, with many of the pieces coming from local schools and other Phuket organisations.

While contributors were asked to make their artwork themselves, Underwood offered to create items if the designs were sent into them by the end of May.

According to the organisers, the aim of the festival is to encourage everyone to use their imagination to invent something.

Brush can be found on Kalim Beach in Patong. It serves European food with an Asian twist and hosts performers such as DJ Kensho to entertain drinkers and diners.

The exhibition is open from 16:00 to 01:00 local time every day and is free to attend.

On the final day of the showcase, all the pieces will be auctioned off for charity.
