AsiaRooms.com - Phuket Punchline Comedy Event Draws Near

Released on: June 23, 2011, 3:42 pm
Author: AsiaRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

A trio of top British comedians are set to perform in Phuket later this month, promising to tickle the sides of travellers and expats on the exotic Thai island.

Compere on the night will be Stephen Grant, who has taken six successful shows to the Edinburgh Fringe and is due to release his fourth DVD this year.

He is normally a resident at the Krater Comedy Club in Brighton, but on June 23rd he will present his unique worldview at the Phuket Punchline Comedy showcase, as well as introduce fellow performers Jimmy McGhie and Michael Fabbri.

McGhie is a young talent who took his first solo show to Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and his success enabled him to return the following year with the ridiculously-titled project 'Jimmie McGhie - The All-Powerful Warrior Who With His Endurance And Inflexible Will To Win Goes From Conquest To Conquest Leaving Fire In His Wake'.

Fabbri is another Brighton-based comic, who some people may recognise for his work on TV Asia and Sky Poker.

The show at the Holiday Inn Resort begins at 20:30 local time and tickets cost 960 baht (£19.50) in advance or 1,200 on the door.

AsiaRooms.com features a wide range of Phuket hotels that may appeal to comedy fans, including the Patong Merlin Hotel.
