Adelaide's new Aquatic and Leisure Centre is set to play host to the 2011 Australian Short Course Swimming Championships (ASCSC) next month.

The event, which will take place from Friday July 1st to Sunday July 3rd, provides an opportunity for short-course specialists to become the new national champion.

A wide array of distances and swimming strokes are set to feature in the championships, including individual butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke and freestyle contests, as well as a series of relay competitions.

Entrants will be hoping to replicate the success of stars such as Kyle Richardson and Matthew Abood, who took the gold medals in the 50 metre and 100 metre freestyle events at the 2010 ASCSC.

Heats are scheduled to be held from 09:00 localtime onwards on each day, with the finals due to start at 17:00.

A host of seating packages are available, with season tickets priced at AU$45 for adults and AU$25 for concessions and under-16s.

Alternatively, fans can choose to purchase passes for individual sessions.

Prices depend on the event they wish to see, with seats at the finals priced at AU$15 and the heats charged at AU$8.
