LateRooms.com - Big Feastival to Take Place on London's Clapham Common

Released on: June 02, 2011, 3:00 am
Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

London's Clapham Common will host the inaugural Big Feastival in July, combining top-notch food with great bands.

Soul II Soul, The Charlatans, Roots Manuva and Athlete are among the headliners at the three-day event, which will raise money for The Jamie Oliver Foundation and The Prince's Trust.

Taking place from July 1st to 3rd, the festival will feature pop-up kitchens run by representatives from a number of the UK's top restaurants.

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is heavily involved in the creation of the event and his Fifteen and Barbecoa will be dishing up food. Other names due to appear include Canteen, Vinoteca and Wahaca.

The organisers are billing Big Feastival as the first music festival to match the quality of its tunes with the tasty treats on offer.

People who buy a standard ticket for £75 can taste up to five different meals for no extra cost.

The Guillemots, Hercules & Love Affair and Tom Middleton are some of the other music acts lined up to play.

If people are not fussed about the culinary offerings, they can buy an entry-only pass, which currently costs £35 but will rise to £50 when earlybird tickets run out.

Music-loving foodies can find a huge number of London hotels at LateRooms.com, including the Astor Court Hotel London.
