LateRooms.com - Enjoy Festival Too in King's Lynn During a Norfolk Stay

Released on: June 15, 2011, 2:26 am
Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

Several days of free entertainment will take place in King's Lynn under the Festival Too banner this summer.

The non-profit event has been running since 1985 and is known for bringing live music, quirky performances and a carnival atmosphere to the Norfolk market town.

It was originally created by a group of local businesses who wanted to give the area its own festival.

Despite being a free event, the musical line-up for this year's Festival Too boasts a number of chart-topping acts.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Lightning Seeds and The Hoosiers are all set to perform during the festival, which will kick off on Saturday June 25th with an Elton John tribute act and a spectacular fireworks display.

Other acts heading to King's Lynn for the event include Howard Jones, The Feeling, Parade and Wonderland.

As well as the music, Festival Too offers a busy programme of free street entertainment in the town centre that includes circus clowns, jugglers, puppets and balloon modelling.

Events will be held on each Friday and Saturday between June 25th and July 9th.

Festival-goers can find a wide range of Norfolk hotels at LateRooms.com, which recommends the George Hotel Norfolk.
