Paris will host the France v Cuba volleyball World League match in June at the Palais Omnisports Paris Bercy.

Taking place on June 24th, the clash is sure to be intense as both teams will be keen to progress to the later stages of the competition.

France, currently ranked 12th in the world, will have their hands full when they face the central Americans, as Cuba are the fourth best team in the world, according to the rankings.

The top three spots are occupied by Brazil, Russia and Serbia.

Coached by Philippe Blain, France have traditionally been a strong volleyball side, finishing second in the World League in 2006, but have struggled in recent years.

Their 2011 season was not helped when captain Olivier Kieffer and libero Hubert Heno retired before the campaign started.

Meanwhile, the Cuban side is very much in the ascendancy, with players like Wilfredo Leon Venero developing into world class talents in recent years.

Fernando Hernández Ramos and Rolando Cepeda Abreu are also rising stars to watch out for at the game.

Tickets start from €30 (£26.60), with the action getting going at 20:30 local time.
