The Chorus of Welsh National Opera will perform a selection of timeless songs at Pembrokeshire's Torch Theatre next month.

Members of the audience can look forward to a concert that includes something for everyone, with operatic pieces, classical numbers and songs from popular musicals.

The performance on Saturday July 2nd promises to be a memorable occasion, as the 40-strong vocal ensemble has been widely praised by music critics and fans since its members turned professional in 1968.

According to a statement from the Milford Haven venue, the evening will feature a programme of songs that sound beautiful and cover "the entire range of human emotion".

Opera lovers will no doubt already be familiar with the work of the Chorus, which has performed repertoire by Handel, Mozart, Verdi, Wagner and Puccini at concert halls and festivals around the UK.

The group also sang for the Queen at the opening of the Welsh Assembly in Cardiff.

Tickets for their Torch Theatre performance are available to buy online, priced at£20 plus booking fee. The show is due to begin at 19:30 BST.
