Based in the Malaysian capital, the group consists of Nazareth on lead guitar and vocals, his brother Mono on bass, guitarist Anuar and Azeezul on drums.

Musically their sound is close to the raw, powerful rock music of The Smiths, Oasis or the Stone Roses and their style is very much a nod towards British mod culture.

The Times released their first album in 2004 entitled Soda Pop Rok'N'Roll and followed it up with 2007's Nada Melankolik Malaya and Modern Minimalis Glamour in 2008.

Last year saw the group unveil an EP called The Ballad of Jimi Acid, tracks from which are likely to feature in their Kuala Lumpur show.

While the band has adopted many British and American influences, frontman Nazareth sings in Malay.

They will take the stage at the Central Market's Annexe on Saturday July 2nd at 13:00 local time.
