Premier League runners-up Chelsea FC are heading to Bangkok to play an all-star team composed of the best players from the Thai top division.

The game at the Rajamangala National Stadium will take place on July 24th and form part of the wider Coke Super Cup, which sees the Blues visiting Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong as well.

All eyes will be on the performance of the London club, as they have just appointed former Porto manager Andre Villas-Boas to lead their team of international stars.

The Portuguese coach is just 33 years old, meaning he is of comparable age to many of his senior players, but his track record is impressive.

He took Porto through the last season unbeaten to win their division, as well as taking home the domestic cup and the Europa League titles.

Chelsea finished their campaign under Carlo Ancelotti just behind champions Manchester United, prompting the sacking of the Italian and the recruitment of the sought-after Villas-Boas.

Fans can expect to see world-class players such as Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and John Terry on the pitch.

The game begins at 17:45 local time and tickets start from 500 baht (£10.20).

Football fans can use AsiaRooms.com to find a huge array of Bangkok hotels, such as The Twin Towers Hotel.
