The Thailand vs Challenger (TVC) Grand Opening is scheduled to take place in Bangkok in July and include six Muay Thai bouts.

Hosted by the River City Hall, the combat series sees Thai fighters face opponents from overseas in televised battles.

On July 23rd, the TVC Grand Opening of the 2011 season will see French 20-year-old Antuan Siangboxing complete his 99th fight - having lost 22 bouts before.

Another challenger on the night is 27-year-old American Cyrus Washington, who has won 47 of his 64 fights.

And from Germany comes Valdet Gashi, a 25-year-old with 60 wins from 109 competitive bouts.

In a statement, event organisers Elite Boxing said: "The TVC Grand Opening fightcard will include six world-class international fights, featuring such Muay Thai superstars as Kaoklai Kaennorsing, Nonsai Sor Sanyakorn and Bovy Sor Udomsorn of Thailand."

Toli Makris, co-founder and managing director of the company, stressed how important it is to him to keep the Grand Opening in Thailand, despite the competition's success across the world.

The doors open at 19:00 local time and tickets start from 500 baht (£10.20) for a standing space.

If martial arts fanatics are keen to find Bangkok hotels, they could use AsiaRooms.com to browse a selection of options, including The Twin Towers Hotel.
