Cult American rockers Blonde Redhead are set to perform live in Prague next month.

Their show at the Lucerna Music Bar on Monday August 8th will give fans a chance to hear songs from the trio's eighth studio album Penny Sparkle, which was released in September last year.

Formed in New York, Blonde Redhead are comprised of Kazu Makino and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace.

They released their self-titled debut LP in 1995 on the independent label Smells Like Records, which was set up by Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley.

Currently on a world tour in support of their latest LP, the group are due to appear at festivals across Europe this summer.

Fans who would like to see Blonde Redhead perform in more intimate surroundings could be attracted to the Lucerna Music Bar, which is one of Prague's top venues for live music.

Tickets for the show, which will get underway at 20:00 local time, are priced at 450 Czech koruna (£16.60).
