Sydney's The Rocks tourist precinct will play host to its annual Aroma Festival at the end of next month, offering culinary delicacies from around the world.

Four sections - the Orient, the Continent, the Oasis and the Latin Quarter - will be set up, celebrating food and drink from China, Europe, the Middle East and South America.

Visitors can look forward to sampling everything from freshly-ground coffee and rich hot chocolate to spiced chai and baklava, a traditional Greek and Turkish delicacy made from pastry, chopped nuts and honey or syrup.

Hot drinks will be on offer for just AU$2 per cup and with more than 100 stalls expected at the event, there will be plenty of beverages to choose from.

As well as enjoying the cuisine on offer, tourists can head to the Museum of Contemporary Art and check out the Domestic Coffee Machine Expo.

The Aroma Festival is scheduled to get underway at 10:00 local time on Sunday July 31st and run until 17:00. Admission is free of charge.

Located close to the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Rocks is just a ten-minute walk from the central business district.

Culinary enthusiasts can find a wide range of last minute hotels in Sydney at LateRooms.com.au.
