LateRooms.com - Enjoy Someone Who'll Watch Over Me in the Lake District

Released on: July 13, 2011, 1:14 pm
Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

A new production of Someone Who'll Watch Over Me is set to open at Keswick's Theatre by the Lake on Friday August 5th.

Written by acclaimed Irish dramatist Frank McGuinness, the play deals with the shared experience of three male hostages being held in the Middle East by unseen captors.

It was first staged in London in 1992 and also enjoyed a successful run on Broadway, where the compelling drama received several theatre awards.

As the imprisoned trio attempt to maintain their sanity by talking and arguing with each other, they develop a mutual respect that gradually transforms into a powerful bond.

Someone Who'll Watch Over Me has been described by the Lake District venue as "a story of determination and imagination, of friendship and laughter, and of the strength of the human spirit".

Tickets for the show can be purchased online, priced at £10 and £13.

Evening performances will run on selected dates throughout August, September and October, starting at 20:00 BST. There will also be occasional matinee shows getting underway at 14:00 BST on Wednesdays.

Theatre-goers planning to stay in Lake District accommodation will find a wide range of options at LateRooms.com , which recommends the Sharrow Bay Hotel Lake District.
