Iconic singer George Michael is set to play at the Arena Italsider in Naples as part of his Symphonica: The Orchestral Tour.

The concert on September 11th 2011 is one of only three Italian dates scheduled on the tour and tickets are on sale now.

Michael will be playing a series of dates in cities across Europe, including Paris, Madrid, Rotterdam, Geneva and Stuttgart.

Born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, the pop star has been in the public eye since the early 1980s, when he formed one half of Wham! with Andrew Ridgeley.

Over the years he has won countless awards and sold more than 100 million albums, selling out stadiums from London to Tokyo during that time.

The 48-year-old, London-born singer is one of the best-selling artists of all time and has recorded seven number ones in the UK alone.

Michael recently rereleased his hit album Faith and the audience in Naples can expect to hear songs from that record as well as plenty of other popular tracks at the show later this summer.

Tickets start from €63.25 (£55.60) and the gig will begin at 21:00 local time.
