The Stadio Luigi Moccia di Afragola will host a performance by Italian-American singer Sal Da Vinci later this month.

His concert on July 23rd at the arena on the outskirts of Naples is part of the wider Afragola Grandi Eventi season, which is in its second year.

Sal Da Vinci is the fourth and final concert in the series, with I Pooh, the Gran Gala della Comicita and Massimo Ranieri scheduled for July 14th, 19th and 21st.

The singer was born in New York but moved to Italy, where he first acted on stage at the age of seven and made his film debut at nine.

Now 42 years old, he lives in Naples and has a huge repertoire of songs to pick from when he performs.

Da Vinci won the Festival Italiano in 1994 and returned to the public eye in 2009 when he took third place in the Sanremo Music Festival.

Tickets for all four events start from €45 (£40.30). The music begins at 21:30 local time each evening.

To reach the stadium, take a train on the Naples-Formia line or use one of a number of available bus services.

Music enthusiasts can find a vast selection of Naples hotels on LateRooms.com, including the Grand Hotel Parkers Naples.
