The Didmarton Bluegrass Festival returns to the Cotswolds once again next month, offering visitors a varied line-up of acoustic performers.

Running from Thursday September 1st to Sunday September 4th, the event prides itself on bringing musical acts from around the world to the Gloucestershire countryside.

Bands set to appear at this year's festival include Chris Stuart and Backcountry, The Hot Seats, The Coal Porters, the New Essex Bluegrass Band, About Time, Hogeye, and the Carrivick Sisters.

All headline performances will be staged across two marquees at Kemble Airfield, with bands from the US, the UK and continental Europe heading to the event.

Following the success of last year's Thursday night concert, the festival curtain-raiser will return for 2011 with sets from hotly-tipped new British folk bands Matthew and the Atlas and The Scoville Units.

Admission to the festival costs £69 for the full weekend, while single-day tickets can also be purchased online for various prices. People who wish to enjoy the Thursday night concert only will be charged £15.

Bluegrass fans planning to make a Cotswold hotel booking will find plenty of options at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Tortworth Court Four Pillars Hotel.
