Industry: Travel

Fans of Owl City - the stage name of US electro-pop songwriter Adam Young - have a chance to see him perform live in Madrid next month.

The Minnesota-based artist recently released his third studio album All Things Bright and Beautiful, which features the singles Alligator Sky and Deer in the Headlights.

Young collaborated with several other musicians when recording the LP, including rapper Shawn Chrystopher and Canadian singer Lights.

However, many people will be most familiar with the performer's massive hit Fireflies, which topped charts around the world in late 2009 and early 2010.

The song featured on the musician's breakthrough album Ocean Eyes and was eventually certified quadruple platinum.

Young is due to perform in Madrid on Monday September 19th, when he will appear at the Spanish capital's Ramdall Music Live venue.

He has lined up a series of European dates in support of his latest LP, including gigs in London, Paris, Barcelona and Munich.

Tickets for the Madrid show are available online, priced at €20 (£17.50). The music is due to begin at 21:30 local time.

Fans planning to book Madrid hotels for the event will find a variety of accommodation at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Westin Palace Madrid.
