The UK's leading cycle exhibition is set to wheel into Birmingham on Thursday September 29th.

Having previously been held at Earls Court in London, the Cycle Show will move to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) for its tenth anniversary event.

Billed as a celebration of all things bike-related, the four-day programme includes product launches from major brands, the chance to meet cycling celebrities and a range of interactive features.

The first day of the show is open to trade visitors only, but members of the public can attend from Friday September 30th to Sunday October 2nd.

Anticipated highlights of the event include the BMX stunt competition and the brand new mountain bike demo track, which will give riders the opportunity to try out the latest models.

Famous cyclists due to appear at Cycle Show 2011 include Team Sky professional Ben Swift, BMX champion Ben Hennon and Olympic gold medallist Geraint Thomas.

Adult tickets are priced at £12.50 in advance and £15.50 at the door, while children under 15 will pay £6.50 if they book beforehand and £8 on the day.

The NEC will be open from 09:30 to 18:00 BST on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday it will open at the same time but close at 17:00.

LateRooms.com recommends a number of cheap hotels that could appeal to cycling fans, including The Railway Guest House, which is just a few minutes away from the NEC.
