Mysterious Mancunian quartet Wu Lyf are due to perform at Berlin's Festsaal Kreuzberg next month.

The indie band, whose name stands for World Unite! Lucifer Youth Foundation, have been building a major buzz in their home city since they began to play live in 2010.

By keeping gigs, interviews and the release of press details to a minimum, the group created a mystique that has fascinated fans and critics alike.

The show in Berlin on Friday October 7th will give fans in the German capital a chance to hear tracks from Wu Lyf's debut album Go Tell Fire to the Mountain, which was released in June.

Acclaimed by critics, the LP features tracks such as Cave Song, Heavy Pop and Such a Sad Puppy Dog.

Tickets for the Berlin gig are available online for €16.60 (£14.50).

Located in the city's culturally diverse Kreuzberg district, the venue for the performance is a former Turkish wedding hall that now hosts a range of concerts, fashion shows and other special events.

Music fans seeking Berlin accommodation will find a variety of options at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Melia Berlin in the heart of the city.
