LateRooms.com - York Venue to Welcome Cosmo Jarvis

Released on: September 06, 2011, 10:23 am
Author: LateRooms Ltd
Industry: Travel

Hotly tipped young songwriter Cosmo Jarvis will play live in York on Friday September 16th.

The 21-year-old musician has received plenty of attention from the music press in anticipation of his second album Is the World Strange or Am I Strange?, which will be released a few days after he appears in the city.

With tickets priced at just £7 plus booking fee for the show at Fibbers, many fans will want to see the rising star perform in an intimate venue before his profile gets even bigger.

Born in New Jersey but raised in Devon, Jarvis is an idiosyncratic and unpredictable performer who claims to have written more than 300 songs already.

The multi-instrumentalist released his debut album Humasyouhitch/Sonofabitch on the Wall of Sound label in November 2009 and is also keen on making movies, with his first feature film now close to completion.

Jarvis directed the video to his recent single Gay Pirates, which became a YouTube hit and received the approval of Stephen Fry via Twitter.

Support for the show in York will be provided by Graham Parry, a Harrogate-based songwriter influenced by Ben Folds and Josh Rouse.

Music fans will find a large selection of York accommodation at LateRooms.com, which recommends The Tower Guest House for its convenient location and high standards of comfort.

Visit www.fibbers.co.uk or contact the venue on 01904 651 250 for more information about this event.
