The Hong Kong Jewish Film Festival is returning for its 12th edition between November 12th and 20th 2011.

Held annually as a celebration of the very best Jewish-themed films from around the world, the event has screened more than 200 features since its inauguration in 1999, attracting a loyal following of Jewish and non-Jewish audience members alike.

This year's festival will open with a screening of An Article of Hope, the story of Israel's first astronaut, with director Daniel Cohen set to be in attendance.

The programme will continue with showings of works such as Just Like Home, Precious Life, Barney's Version and The Matchmaker, before closing with the groundbreaking Rabies, the first Israeli horror film.

Cinema enthusiasts wishing to attend the opening night show at City Hall Theatre can purchase tickets for HK$220 (£17.90), which includes the cost of the screening and the post-film kosher dessert party.

Subsequent showings will take place at the AMC Cinemas branch in Pacific Place, with tickets costing HK$80, or HK$60 for students and those aged over 60.

Film lovers can browse a wide array of Hong Kong hotels at AsiaRooms.com, including the Kings De Nathan.

More information about the film festival can be found at www.hkjff.org.
