Kuala Lumpur is to play host to a celebration of batik fabrics during the Viva Malaysia Batik festival, which takes place this December.

The event comprises of a number of different local activities and exhibitions dedicated to celebrating batik, a staple of south-east Asian culture and fashion, with proceedings to be based at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Viva Malaysia Batik's centrepiece is the annual Kuala Lumpur International Batik (KLIB) Convention and Exhibition, a trade show that is open to the public from December 9th to 11th and highlights all of the latest developments in the industry.
