For some, nothing epitomises Halloween better than a classic horror film, and no amount of apple-bobbing and pumpkin carving can get near it. Those people would be well advised to come to Halloween Screamings at the Round Chapel in Hackney on October 28th-30th, where they can see a collection of the finest horror fare ever created in the company of like-minded film buffs.

Four classic films are spread across three days. October 28th hosts the mother of all horror films, 1973's The Exorcist, while October 30th offers a matinee screening of The Blair Witch Project (1999) at 4:45pm, followed by The Omen (1976) at 7:30pm. Finally, on October 31st, the event draws to a close with, rather aptly, the 1978 classic Halloween.
