The London Bridge Experience and London Tombs have been voted the UK's scariest attraction for the last three years in a row, so it is fair to say they know what they are doing when it comes to horror.

What better place then to celebrate Halloween in London? A family event has been running since October 17th, but for grown-ups and older children there is Extreme Scares, the night time portion of their acclaimed Phobophobia event, which runs from October 27th-31st.

Scary enough to operate an over-11s only policy, Extreme Scares confronts you with the subjects of some of the world's most common phobias. Spiders, snakes, ghosts, witches and, perhaps most horrifying of all, clowns wait in the shadows to jump out when you least expect it.

Of course you can still visit the family-friendly show in the day as well, an entertaining look at 2000 years of London's Halloween history.
