With Halloween on the horizon, many London establishments are trying to come up with ways to take advantage of the festivities with a themed event to attract visitors.

At the London Wetland Centre in Barnes on the outskirts of West London, they have the ideal attraction for just such an occasion.

On October 22nd-23rd, visitors of all ages can come and learn all about the lives of two of the most frightening animals around; bats and spiders.

The creatures are residents of the centre, and keepers hope that people will learn that they are not as scary as popular opinion would suggest.

With talks about the habitats and behaviour of bats and spiders both native and foreign, guests will leave furnished with enough facts to ensure they are never afraid of these creatures again. There is plenty of family fun to be had too, with face-painting and games keeping young children amused.

Entry to the centre costs £10.55 for adults and £5.85 for children, with under 4s granted free admission.

Hotels-London.co.uk can provide visitors with plenty of accommodation options to help them enjoy their stay. The magnificent Hendon Hall and the superb K West Hotel in Shepherds Bush are just two examples of what you can expect.
