Newquay's Lighthouse Cinema is preparing to host the tenth edition of the Cornwall Film Festival.

Due to run from Friday November 4th to Sunday November 6th, the event will mark its latest milestone with a typically diverse programme of movie screenings and other activities.

The festival is known for celebrating Cornish filmmaking and the culture of the south-west region, as well as showcasing acclaimed documentaries, short films, animations and international productions.

Several feature films with links to Cornwall will receive preview screenings during the three-day event, including Happy Christmas by Mark Jenkin and Brett Harvey's Weekend Retreat.

At each of these showings, the director will introduce the movie and afterwards join members of the cast for a question and answer session.

Other films on this year's programme include surf documentary Land of Saints, new British comedy drama Black Pond and critically acclaimed Iranian thriller A Separation.

Tickets for the festival are now available, with full weekend passes priced at £25. Individual day passes cost £10 for Friday and £15 for Saturday and Sunday.
