Stars such as Roberto Gatto, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Enrico Rava are due to perform at the 35th Rome Jazz Festival.

The Rome Jazz Festival returns for its 35th edition next month, with an array of international musicians lined up to perform.

Held at the city's famous Auditorium Parco della Musica, this year's event features a typically varied programme of concerts and will run from Tuesday November 8th to Wednesday November 30th.

Confirmed performers include Italian jazz drummer Roberto Gatto, the Pat Metheny Trio, the Roberta Gambarini Quartet, the Tingvall Trio and Beirut-born trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf.

There will also be an appearance by Grammy Award-winning singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, whose performance at the auditorium on November 17th will be a tribute to American jazz legend Billie Holiday.

Elsewhere, jazz fans can look forward to enjoying the technical wizardry of trumpet star Fabrizio Bosso and soprano sax master Javier Girotto, who are due to play together on November 26th.

The festival will close with a performance by veteran trumpet soloist Enrico Rava, one of the biggest stars of Italian jazz.

Tickets for all concerts are individually priced, ranging from €10 to €45 (£8.60 and£38.90).
