Acoustic guitarist and singer Keith James is set to perform in Dorchester on Saturday October 29th, offering his own interpretation of songs by Leonard Cohen.

The show at the Dorchester Arts Centre will give fans of the legendary Canadian songwriter a chance to hear fresh versions of his classic material, as well as poems by Cohen that James has set to music.

Known for penning songs such as Suzanne, Bird on the Wire, Hallelujah and First We Take Manhattan, Cohen is revered among music fans for his unforgettable lyrics and melodies.

James, who has released several albums of his own material and worked as a producer for various musicians, has described the artist's music as "unprecedented in both beauty and integrity".

As well as exploring the songs of Cohen, his performance in Dorchester will include musical interpretations of work by Spanish literary great Federico Garcia Lorca.

Tickets for the event are priced at £12, with doors due to open at 19:30 BST on the night. The music will begin at 20:00.
