Turin Brakes will treat fans in Bournemouth to a live rendition of The Optimist LP next month.

The show at the Old Fire Station on Wednesday November 9th is one of a series of gigs at which the acoustic duo's cult classic album from 2001 is due to be performed in full.

Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian are touring the record to mark the tenth anniversary of its release.

Although the pair have made an additional four studio albums since their debut effort came out, the songs on The Optimist LP continue to resonate with fans and the record remains their most critically acclaimed piece of work.

Nominated for the Mercury Prize, it spawned the singles Underdog (Save Me), Mind over Money and Emergency 72.

Tickets to see Turin Brakes perform the album in Bournemouth are available online, priced at £18 plus booking fee.

Doors will open at 19:30 GMT, with support provided by Leicester-based singer-songwriter Jersey Budd.
