Thistle Hotels has released a new breakfast infographic featuring various facts and statistics relating to the most important meal of the day.

Guests staying at Thistle's range of hotels across the UK can set themselves up for the day with the company's wide selection of breakfast treats; from the full English to fresh fruit salads and pastries - and they certainly get through a lot of them. Thistle recently looked into just how much bacon, eggs, tea, coffee and other breakfast goods are served every day in its UK hotels, and the results were somewhat astounding.

On a typical day, guests staying at Thistle Hotels consume 5,153 rashes of bacon, which is enough to reach from dry land to the end of Brighton Pier. Thistle put its findings into a fun new breakfast infographic featuring some of Britain's most famous cities - London, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh - all locations where travellers can find a fabulous breakfast at their local Thistle hotel. Whether they salivate over sausages or are happy with a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea, they will be well-cared for at Thistle Hotels.

Some of the statistics from the infographic include:
- Britain gets through 165 million cups of tea in a day
- Thistle hotels serve 3,334 bowls of fruit salad - enough to fill an entire pod on the London Eye
- 2,728 sausages are served every day - enough to reach across the Thames and Tower Bridge
