Visitors to Seoul can catch a performance of Zorro the Musical at the Blue Square theatre in the coming weeks.

The stage show based on the popular swashbuckling hero commenced its run in the South Korean capital on November 4th 2011 and will be playing at the Blue Square until January 15th 2011.

Featuring a local cast, the musical extravaganza sees the masked freedom fighter battling to safeguard the underprivileged from exploitation, all set to an original score by the famous Gipsy Kings.

The show originally appeared in London's West End in 2008 and won rave reviews from publications such as the Telegraph, the Sun, the Daily Express, the Sunday Times and Time Out.

Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday praised director Christopher Renshaw's production as "spirited and spectacular, with illusions that are as breathtaking as the fencing and juggling with blazing fire".

Tickets to Zorro the Musical in Seoul are available from 30,000 won (£16.70), with the most expensive VIP tickets costing 130,000 won.

It runs for 170 minutes in total, with an intermission lasting 15 minutes.
