Proceedings will kick off on the 10th with a special invitation-only Mozart performance by the Emerson String Quartet at the Maple Hall venue, before getting underway properly at Seoul Arts Centre the following day.

The programme will feature performances of pieces by Ravel, Dvorak, Schubert, Beethoven and Mendelssohn, with cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han in charge of artistic direction.

Performers include the likes of the Jupiter String Quartet and Philip Setzer.

Commenting on the intent behind the festival, the art directors said in a statement:

Performances begin at 20:00 local time on December 12th and 13th and at 17:00 on the 11th.
